Basic White Bitches

29 december 2015 - Prescott, Arizona, Verenigde Staten

This morning we started up in a bad mood. The internet did not work so mom couldn't call her girlfriend. But she wasn't the only one in a bad mood; I had a breakdown and I was a little stressed out. After breakfast me and mom went on a walk throughout historic Prescott Downtown. To warm up a little we went into one of the many antique stores in town. This is where I bought mom a new collectors item. A copper bracelet!

After walking around some more we decided to get into the car and to go to Jerome, an old mining village in the mountains. The road there was curvy and steep, but the town itself is crowded as frek. Tourists everywhere! Jerome is a little ghost town with many "horror" attractions like a hotel that was once an asylum and an abandoned mine system. We ate something at a cute restaurant, themed Dias des Muertos (Day of the Dead). It was colourful, and skulls were lurking at you from every corner of the cafe. We walked around Jerome for a while, but it was too touristy for us, so we left short after.

On the way back we wanted to buy some small oranges (our road snack), fruit and wine. We got some Starbucks drinks and after that we went to Costco, a huge store where they sell everything consumable. I have been there before, but mom never had the experience of going into Costco and she was flabbergasted by what they sold for what prices. At the checkout it turned out we couldn't buy stuff without a Costco member card except for, you guessed it, the wine. As a non Costco member you can't buy healthy fruit, but you CAN buy alcoholic beverages. At least in the state of Arizona.

We went back to the hotel room, confused about what just happened to us, and went to chill. Nothing more. Just sipping on Starbucks and wine, like basic white bitches.
