Stress in San Francisco!

13 januari 2016 - San Francisco, California, Verenigde Staten

Because the next day we planned to go to Alcatraz, we headed towards the south, to San Francisco. We decided to drive along the west coast of California, and that was a good decision! It was beautiful! Stunning! The sea and the mountains are astonishing. We did nothing more than just enjoying ourselves during this trip. During the day it was driving and no stopping or anything.

After some hours of driving we arrived in San Francisco County! We were still driving through the mountains and forests but eventually the Golden Gate Bridge came in sight. I've noticed on the map that we were actually going to drive over the bridge itself! Woohoo! We took some nice snaps and went on into town to eat something. After some stressful driving through SF city we arrived at some kind of Chinatown. We ate some Pakistani & Indian food and then went on with our trip. We couldn't find a hotel in the city itself and the hotel Klienemême was kind of expensive.

So we headed to Oakland. It is a city next to SF, just across the bay. In Oakland everything was sold out, and if there was room the minimum would be $120 / $180... The lady behind the counter suggested that we should go to Motel6, a motel located just a little bit closer to the airport. So we went there. All the good hotels were sold out, except for the Motel6. But we had some bad experiences with this motel before, because in Carlsbad it was expensive and dirty (oil and other dirt on the sheets). It was expensive for a room, but we were so tired and we had to get up early the next day for Alcatraz that we took the room. It was a room that no pets have been in, so that was a good thing. For the rest, way too expensive for a motel like that. We were still full from the food so we went to bed. Sleeping and dreaming about Alcatraz!
