Hopidepaardepopie!

25 december 2015 - Tuba City, Arizona, Verenigde Staten

We decided to go up north but after driving a few hours we actually went south because of the weather. And that is what we are probably going to do the upcoming days, see what the weather will be in different places, and make a decision based on that. We didn't do much today besides driving and looking for a populated area to stay in.

Today we arrived in the city of Tuba City. It's an almost abandoned place, some of the houses are left and closed shut, and there are a lot of trailers where people live in. It's the land of the Hopi Indians.

In Tuba City there are few houses, as said before, a trailer park, two hotels which are very expensive, a McDonalds and some other fast food restaurants and a gas station. That's basically it. Tuba City is close to the east side of the grand canyon, and the way here was also grand canyon like. Many mountains that are oddly shaped on both sides of the road.

The hotel we chose is the Moenkopi Legacy Inn & Suited. Its stated by a Hopi community, and the hotel is in a Hopi style. The beds are awesome, so cuddly and soft, and so many pillows (lovely for me but not for mom he he). We slept early after walking around a bit and talking to this guy who we met at the front desk. He was oddly interested in us, and asked us many questions but we didn't mind answering them. We watched some Kung Fu Panda and then went to sleep. It was short day and tomorrow we are heading up to Page, where we will find a Super 8 Hotel again!
